The FR SKATES TIME ATTACK BOOT is a pure speed slalom racing boot developed for skaters who demand maximum precision, responsiveness and power transfer. Every detail is focused on performance, with one objective: helping racers gain seconds, tenths and even hundredths of a second.

Its extremely rigid construction provides direct energy transfer, allowing every movement to be transmitted to the frame with minimal loss. The close-fitting design keeps the foot firmly connected to the boot, delivering the immediate response and precise control required for explosive starts, rapid acceleration and high-speed slalom turns.

Weighing only 580 g per boot in size 41, the TIME ATTACK achieves an outstanding balance between lightness, structural rigidity and precision. It is an uncompromising competition boot in which performance, control and efficiency take overall priority.

The traditional lace closure allows skaters to adjust the fit accurately throughout the foot. A particularly wide lower strapcovers approximately three lace eyelets and holds the foot securely in position. Its broad surface distributes pressure evenly across the foot and helps lock the heel down, reducing unwanted movement inside the boot.

The lower strap can also be moved easily away from the lacing area thanks to its three widely spaced stitched attachment points. It therefore stays out of the way while tightening or loosening the laces, making the boot more practical to put on, adjust and remove despite its close, performance-oriented fit.

For maximum forward support and rigidity, the TIME ATTACK comes fitted with a top buckle. This configuration provides firm frontal support for racers looking for the most direct and powerful response.

A Velcro top strap is also included in the box and can replace the buckle. This alternative configuration allows greater forward flexion for skaters who prefer more freedom over the front of the foot. The buckle and Velcro strap are fully interchangeable, allowing racers to adapt the boot’s behavior to their technique, skating position and personal preferences.

A compact rear pull loop makes the close-fitting boot easier to put on. Its deliberately short design remains practical without adding unnecessary bulk or interfering with the streamlined racing construction.

The front and surrounding area of the boot feature an additional toe-cap reinforcement layer. During speed slalom competition, racers may throw the leading skate forward when crossing the finish line to gain an advantage. This repeated movement can expose the front of the other boot to significant friction and abrasion. The reinforcement helps protect this high-contact area and extends the boot’s service life under intensive racing conditions.

Each boot is equipped with two nine-hole mounting plates, providing a precise and secure connection between the boot and the frame. The multiple mounting positions allow the frame alignment to be adjusted accurately according to the skater’s stance, technique and racing requirements.

The TIME ATTACK is sold as a boot-only model without frames, wheels, bearings or insoles. It is compatible with multiple Speed Slalom frame configurations, including 3x90 mm, 3x100 mm, 3x105 mm and 3x110 mm. FR SKATES highlights the 3x100 mm Speed Slalom frame as one of the recommended performance setups, offering a highly responsive and efficient balance of acceleration, precision and speed. Other compatible configurations allow racers to adapt the setup to their technique, preferences and competition requirements.
